Veneers can give you the beautiful smile that you’ve always wanted! Veneers are tooth-colored shells, contact lines thin, placed on top of your natural teeth and produce a gorgeous, bright smile that will light up any room.
They can correct a majority of cosmetic flaws from crooked teeth to a discolored smile. Also advances in dentistry over the years have made veneers look even more natural!
“The porcelain we’re using now is so strong that it allows us to fabricate ultra thin veneers. This eradicates the chance of the veneers looking bulky or fake. We are now able to create very natural looking, long-lasting smiles.” – Dr. Jessica Meier, Philadelphia Cosmetic Dentist
How they work?
At your first visit, our doctors will be able to determine whether this cosmetic procedure will work for you. You’ll also meet with one of our treatment coordinator’s who will be able to develop a payment plan that works best for you. After that it’s just about getting scheduled for your appointments.
You and our doctor will work as a team to decide on the ideal shape, length and color of the veneers. Once decided, a series of impressions are taken of your teeth and sent to a lab where the veneers are custom made.
At the next appointment the doctor tries the veneers on first. Again as a team you look together at the size, shape and color. Once everyone is satisfied then the veneers are added seamlessly to the teeth. Only you and the doctor will know veneers are in place, that’s how real they appear!
Pros of Veneers
- For healthy teeth, veneers can be an alternative for crowns (or caps)
- Because we are able to match veneers to your natural teeth by shade and size, it’s hard to tell the difference between the two
- Veneers can come in many different shades of white, which can help brighten your smile
- Porcelain veneers resist stains by tea, wine, coffee, and smoke
Are veneers the solution for you?
Tired of your crooked teeth? Veneers can be a good substitute for braces by helping to reduce gaps in your smile. They can cloak uneven teeth, cracks and chips. Also, veneers are ideal for teeth that don’t react well to whitening. Your health is always the most important to us so our goal is to get your mouth healthy, then focus on cosmetics. “In addition to creating beautiful smiles, my passion is to teach patients how to take care of them” Dr. Meier states. “You will leave our office armed with information on how to keep your veneers healthy for the long haul. Both Dr. Cirka and I want the veneers we design to last long. In order to do this we really spend the time to go over hygiene and upkeep maintenance.”
Keeping up with your veneers
With proper maintenance, veneers can last up to 10 years or longer. Healthy oral habits such as brushing and flossing will result in a longer lifespan for veneers. Regular dental cleanings are recommended. With the information we arm you with, your dream smile should last you for many years to come. Call us now to book an appointment to get started 215-568-6222.
